OHOWApplications are now open for bursaries to support First Nations delegates to attend the 2026 National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Eye Health Conference (NATSIEHC26).
WHO CAN APPLY FOR A BURSARY
Bursaries are designed to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to take part in this important annual gathering. Applications are welcome from anyone interested - including those not currently working in eye health.
We especially encourage students, emerging leaders, and community members with an interest in eye health and vision care to apply for this unique opportunity to connect, learn and share.

Bursaries provide full coverage of conference registration, and may also include travel and accommodation support if required.
Please note that bursaries are not distributed as a fixed amount.
The bursary program is administered by the organisers of NATSIEHC26, with oversight by the Conference Leadership Group.
Funding for these bursaries is made possible through the generous support of our conference sponsors.
Recipients will be asked to complete a short survey about their experience at the conference and workshops.
They will also be invited to attend a photo opportunity with sponsors, for use in conference-related communications and reports.
Applications close 31 January 2026.

Please note that due to high demand and limited funding, bursaries are often allocated based on sponsorship and external support.
We encourage applicants to also explore other funding opportunities within their organisations or networks to help ensure more First Nations delegates can attend.
