APPLICATIONS

Applications are now open for community scholarships to support First Nations delegates to attend NATSIECH27.

Who can apply for a Scholarship?

Scholarships are designed to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to take part in this important annual gathering. Applications are welcome from anyone interested - including those not currently working in eye health.

We especially encourage students, emerging leaders, and community members with an interest in eye health and vision care to apply for this unique opportunity to connect, learn and share.

What DoES it cover?

This program is administered by the organisers of NATSIEHC27, with oversight by the Conference Leadership Group.

Funding for these scholarships are made possible through the generous support of our conference sponsors. Due to high demand and limited funding, scholarships are often allocated based on sponsorship and external support.

Scholarships include full conference registration, including a ticket to the Gala Dinner, and may also include travel and accommodation support if required.

Please note that scholarships are not distributed as a fixed amount.

After conference, recipients will be asked to complete a short survey about their experience at the conference and workshops.

We encourage applicants to also explore other funding opportunities within their organisations or networks to help ensure more First Nations delegates can attend conference.

To apply, please click the button below and complete the online application form.

Applications close 31 January 2027
